Our Advanced Pole System®
Our patented Advanced Pole System (APS) was introduced in 1999 as a revolutionary concept and the foundation for successfully attracting birds to your backyard. Comprised of interchangeable hardware pieces, the APS lets you select the setup that best suits the habitat in your backyard and the birds you want to attract. Its modular design allows you to add or subtract bird feeders, bird houses and other bird feeding accessories. Its versatility gives you the ability to create and customize your bird feeding station with over 3,000 combinations — it is all up to you!
Installation worries? It’s easy! First, position the base pole with the convenient corkscrew auger where you want to install your pole system. Just insert a screwdriver into the hole at the middle of the Base Pole and twist it into the ground. Next, slide the stabilizer onto the base pole and push it flush to the ground so it “stays straight and looks great!” Your Advanced Pole System is ready for use and it's lawnmower-friendly.
The Advance Pole System has a durable powder coated finish and is only available at Wild Birds Unlimited.

Basic Hanging Setup
Our exclusive, patented Advanced Pole System® (APS) Basic Setup is the perfect beginning to your ultimate bird feeding station designed to meet your needs.
Just twist the 4-foot base pole into the ground using the convenient corkscrew auger. Next slide the stabilizer onto the base pole and push flush to the ground (tests show the stabilizer holds the pole straight in up to 35 MPH wind gusts). Add the extension pole and arms and top it with the decorative finial; then fill and hang your feeders.

Add the extension pole and dual-mount flange (specially-designed to mount birdfeeders or houses), and then top it with a bird house, hopper or fly-through feeder.
